Reflection
There are benefits and drawbacks to implementing any technology. This artifact is the final paper for 240:131g, Technology in Education. It is a paper intended to persuade my audience that the introduction of a new instructional technology, specifically Blackboard, would benefit students in the Cedar Rapids School District.
The paper demonstrates that I have the knowledge, skills, and dispositions to design conditions for learning by applying principles of instructional systems design, instructional strategies, and learner characteristics. This paper also addresses evaluation of student learning and teaching using the Course Management System (CMS) and Professional Learning Communities (PLC) to collaborate throughout the district. I also address barriers to implementation and adoption of the system.
